SEGWAY TOUR
This May, we went with friends to Corolla, North Carolina. We decided to try something different, so we took a Segway tour of historic Currituck. You can see the Currituck Lighthouse behind us. If some of you look closely, you might be able to identify most of the people in the picture. I, of course, am the shortest of the bunch. What a hoot! Next time we go, we might try the tour that includes looking for the wild horses. Of course, we stopped at the library, which was just across the street. From now on, I'll have to include pictures of the libraries I visit. I always stop in to "check them out".

What a great blog!!
Were the segways easy to operate? I know what it's like to be evacuated from Emerald Island.
I know you know about evacuation. We used to always blame you, but now it seems to be me. The Segways are awesome. We had to do training, but basically you move your body the direction you want to go - lean forward, you go forward, lean back - well you get the idea. You turn by using a grip on the left handlebar. It even has a power assist so if you have to get off and go up stairs, or something, you just pull it and the motor makes it move.
