My new granddaughter

I just got back from taking care of my 3 and a half year old granddaughter while her Mommy was having a new baby. I'm now a grandmother for the second time, but I'm sure the experience will be totally different and exciting. The family is doing fine.

ROLLYO

I've started my own Rollyo, as per item #12. At this point, I'm still trying to get the the point of this. I guess I've always used Myway, Yahoo, Altavista, etc. as starting points and I'm not so sure that less is better. Although I know these are legitimate sites, it still limits your searching to a certain extent. I guess if it helps to find the answer more quickly, then it's definitely the way to go. I just started with a recipe finder. My friends will think this is a hoot, since I really don't cook anymore, but I still like to look. http://rollyo.com/infogoddess/my_recipes/

LIBRARY THING

Very cool. I like the idea of making your own library with the tags you want. Great for your personal reads and the ones you use for programs. Notice I'm a big James Marshall fan. I still like looking at picture books and I'm always looking for something to read to Rheanna and the new grandbaby that's on the way.

WATCH OUT NOW!

Now that I've figured out number 10 - these generators are terrific, but I'm afraid they may also be habit-forming, I'm on to 11. Thanks to Evilibrarian for helping me learn how to move my Simpson's avatar to an element. I always have to make things more difficult. The generators would be great for programming. I know I used one for a Captain Underpants program and the kids loved it. I have to admit I had to do it the old-fashioned way (by hand, using poster board and a marker!), but using the online generators makes things so much better, easier, and faster. Although I'm leaving her up in a regular post for a while, the Infogoddess avatar will move on to an element. If you'd like to make one, here's the link: http://www.simpsonsmovie.com/main.html
