RSS FEEDS

In principle RSS feeds are good things, but I have quickly realized that it's easy to create a monster. I have already deleted feeds that I thought would be good, but in reality were just a waste of time. It's so easy to click on things you think you might be interested in and then realize you've generated a gigantic list. On the good side, I found a good article/blog on gaming in the library and how Ann Arbor's public library is letting any other library piggyback on their gaming site for running tournaments. Looking at Feedster and all the rest have given me other feeds to add. Although I would have eventually figured out YALSA might have one, I found it immediately through Topix. When I have time, I hope to go back and look for more. I know the TXT has been having some gaming, but I'd really like to try it at one or both of our new buildings to help draw people in. We'll also have teen rooms that will offer some areas to try this out without disturbing other patrons.

So far interest in gaming has been pretty good. We will definitely be doing more with it in the near future.
